About Little Star Center
Little Star Center, founded in 2002, was the first ABA facility in the state of Indiana. Little Star Center is a truly unique and special place for children and families affected by autism. Their applied behavior centers in Carmel, Lafayette and Bloomington are staffed and operated by a team of professionals who are among the most experienced in providing ABA therapy for children, teens and young adults.
Additionally, Little Star Center recently announced that it is opening a fourth location at 3595 Sagamore Parkway North, Suite 5 in West Lafayette, Indiana. The new facility, the second in the Lafayette area, is scheduled to open in January, 2016. “The Little Star Center currently operating in Lafayette is at capacity,” said Mary Rosswurm, Little Star Center executive director. “The new, location is just nine miles away, but takes about 25 minutes to get from one location to other. With Purdue University extending ABA therapy coverage to its staff in 2016, our board and leadership team know more families will seek out services for children impacted by autism. We are ready to fill that need with a conveniently located facility for university parents.”
The mission of Little Star Center Inc. is to provide a structured, child-friendly facility where children with autism receive individualized therapeutic intervention. Based on the fundamental principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA), Little Star provides an atmosphere where children, therapists, and families can interact, support each other and receive on-going training so that each child can reach their full potential at home and in a variety of settings outside of therapy.
